Love is one of the most powerful emotions that the human body is capable of producing. It can break a person down, or bring them to incredible highs. It shapes our society, our feelings, and even the music we listen to is (a lot of it) based around the loss or gain of a loved one.

Below I present you with 24 examples of love in photography. From symbolism to loss and to kissing, love is everywhere; and these pictures show this.

“Locks on the Ponte Vecchio are put there by lovers. After “locking” their love on one of the horse tethers, they throw the key over the bridge into the Arno River to “seal” their love!”

Couples Kissing

What’s more romantic than kissing your partner?

Hearts

Love hearts are a human representation of love and are find coincidentally in a lot of places, as showed below.

A dictionary open at the word love, with a rings shadow forming the shape of a heart. Rings represent commitment, so a lot of love and commitment themes are being shown here

Crayons. Everyone loves crayons. Also notice the blurred out orange heart in the background

A red rock, shaped like a heart, most likely formed by hematite.

Grow your love!

“Love is like sand, if you hold on too tightly, it will slip away through your fingers..”

Two halves of a heart come together

Loss

It’s natural to hide from the loss of a loved one, to try and block it all out.

“Children of slain Philadelphia police sergeant Stephen Liczbinski, Amber and Steve embrace after their father’s funeral mass on the steps of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul”.

Typography and Words

Beautiful physical typography of the word love.

I like the ring one in the book, that’s like the best creative thing I’ve ever seen in my life. So simple, I need to try that lol.
